Building Something Bigger Than a Skate Clinic: The Start of Together We Roll

On June 26th 2026, we kicked off our Together We Roll WCMX & All-Inclusive Summer Skate Series at Pelican Skate Park in Mandeville, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin this journey.

Rolling into any skatepark, I still get truly excited. We unloaded our adaptive skate wheelchairs, set up our stations, and welcomed a small group of people who were ready to try something completely new. For some, it was their first time sitting in a WCMX chair. For others, it was simply an opportunity to experience adaptive action sports from a different perspective. Regardless of experience, we created some smiles, new friendships, and a greater appreciation for what is possible.

For a couple of hours, we created a little bit of magic.

That has always been the goal.

As President of TNT 360 Mobility, I’ve spent more than a decade working to break down barriers for people with disabilities. It’s never been just about wheelchairs or equipment. It’s about creating opportunities that build confidence, independence, friendships, and a belief that there are no limits to what someone can accomplish when they’re given the right tools and the right support.

I want to personally thank the incredible staff at Pelican Park for welcoming us and helping create something special. Your support means everything as we begin building something amazing on the Northshore.

Thank you as well to every family, participant, volunteer, skateboarder, and supporter who came out. Whether you rolled into a chair, asked questions, pushed participants, cheered someone on, or simply stopped by to watch, you became part of this growing community.

One thing became very clear during our first clinic—we have an amazing opportunity to build something lasting here.

Our vision goes far beyond teaching WCMX skills. We want to create a community where skateboarders, adaptive athletes, families, volunteers, and local organizations all come together. When everyone works together, adaptive sports become stronger, more inclusive, and more accessible for everyone.

We need experienced skateboarders who want to give back and share their passion with new riders. If you’re a skateboarder on the Northshore who wants to volunteer, we’d love to have you join us for our next clinic on July 24. Your experience can make a huge difference in helping someone discover a sport that could change their life.

Of course, there are challenges.

The biggest one is WCMX and sport wheelchairs. Finding chairs that properly fit each rider isn’t easy, and quality WCMX equipment can be expensive. Every participant deserves equipment that is safe, comfortable, and built for their size and ability. That’s something we’re continually working toward.

Our commitment doesn’t stop when someone leaves the skatepark. If a participant discovers that WCMX is something they truly love, we’ll do everything we can to help connect them with resources, funding opportunities, and organizations that can help them obtain the equipment they need to continue riding.

That’s been my mission for years.

I’ve seen firsthand how the right wheelchair can completely change someone’s life. A properly fitted chair isn’t just a piece of equipment—it becomes part of you, a tool for independence, confidence, freedom, and personal achievement. Watching someone accomplish something they never thought possible is the reason I continue doing this work every single day.

This first clinic was only the beginning.

Now it’s time to grow.

We’re inviting more riders, more families, more volunteers, more skateboarders, and more community partners to help us build the Northshore’s adaptive skateboarding community. Together, we can create opportunities that didn’t exist before and ensure that everyone has a chance to experience the freedom, excitement, and sense of belonging that adaptive action sports provide.

I hope you’ll join us for our next Together We Roll WCMX & All-Inclusive Summer Skate Clinic on July 24 at Pelican Skate Park. Whether you’re a first-time rider, an experienced skateboarder, a family member, or someone who simply wants to support an incredible cause, there’s a place for you here.

Together, we don’t just ride.

Together, We Roll.
