Alexandria Zoo Hosts Community Health Fair
On a beautiful Saturday morning, families and individuals from all around the Alexandria, LA area gathered at the Alexandria Zoological Park for a community health fair. This event, organized by the Zoo’s Education Department, was aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and providing valuable resources to the community. Various organizations and businesses from the community were invited to participate.
As families and individuals arrived at the zoo, they were greeted by friendly volunteers who directed them towards the health fair. The event was held in a large area called Festival Plaza near the stage, and attendees were immediately met with tables and booths manned by representatives from local organizations. These organizations were eager to share information about the services they offered and to give away promotional materials such as pens, notepads, tote bags, and other goodies.
Throughout the day, families and individuals visited the different booths and tables, taking advantage of the valuable resources being offered. Some organizations provided free health screenings such as sugar testing, while others handed out informational pamphlets on topics such as healthy eating habits and exercise routines.
The event was not only educational, but it was also a lot of fun. Attendees were able to enjoy all the attractions of the zoo, including the animal exhibits and the train ride, while also taking advantage of the resources and materials being offered at the health fair.
Overall, the community health fair at the Alexandria Zoo was a huge success. The Alexandria Zoological Park did an excellent job organizing the event, and the organizations and businesses that participated were enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and resources with the community.
