Experience the Excitement of Adaptive Sports presented by LA. Gumbo Inc. and Move United in Pineville, LA
On Saturday, January 14th, 2023, Louisiana Christian University’s H.O. West Field House in Pineville, LA played host to an exciting adaptive sports clinic presented by LA. Gumbo Inc. and Move United. The event featured two popular sports, Boccia and Pickleball, and was open to athletes with disabilities.
Boccia is a precision sport that is similar to lawn bowls, and is played by individuals with disabilities who are seated in a wheelchair. Pickleball, on the other hand, is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.
The event was so much fun, and my buddy Julian and I enjoyed the sports, fun, and inclusive atmosphere. The clinic was run by experienced coaches, who provided instruction and guidance to help us learn a new sport and have a great time.
The event was a great opportunity for athletes to come together and experience the thrill of adaptive sports. LA. Gumbo Inc. and Move United are dedicated to providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in sports and physical activity, and this event is just one of the many ways they are working to promote inclusion and accessibility in the sports community of Pineville LA..
