Intro to WCMX/Skate 101 Workshop in Kenner, LA. Live stream and in-person, March 13-14, 2026.

Wheels in Motion: Shaping the Future of Adaptive Skate & WCMX Education

Time doesn’t wait—and neither do we.

Movement isn’t a luxury. It’s a right. A legacy we build every time we hit the pavement.

I don’t just play sports. I build access. I don’t just host events; I facilitate a shift in how the world views mobility. When we talk about “Wheels in Motion,” we aren’t just talking about a couple of days at a gym or a skatepark, we are talking about the architecture of independence. We are talking about rewriting the manual on what is possible for the human body when the right gear meets the right mindset.

The mission is simple: To educate, to equip, and to empower.

On March 13th and 14th, TNT 360 Mobility joined forces with the City of Kenner Recreation Department, the SMCL Foundation, and the World WCMX Federation. We aren’t just showing up to ride. We are showing up to teach. We are bringing a curriculum of movement to Kenner, Louisiana, and we’re streaming it to the world.

This is what it’s about.

The Educational Mandate: Why We Teach

For too long, adaptive sports have been viewed as a “nice to have” or a niche hobby. I’m here to tell you that’s a lie. Adaptive sports, specifically Wheelchair Motocross (WCMX) and adaptive skateboarding, are fundamental tools for rehabilitation, physical therapy, and social integration.

I see the gap every day. Medical professionals who want to help but don’t know the equipment. Teachers who want to include students but don’t have the framework. Recreation directors who want to build inclusive parks but don’t know where to start.

I’m closing that gap.

This workshop is for the PTs, the OTs, the students, the city staff, and the families. It’s for anyone who refuses to accept “good enough” as a standard for accessibility. We are providing the blueprint for inclusive recreation.

Intro to WCMX & Adaptive Skate 101

We start in the classroom, because you have to understand the why before you can master the how.

On Friday, March 13, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we will be over the Lincoln Manor Gym (3100 Tifton St, Kenner, LA). This isn’t just a local talk. It’s a hybrid event. If you can’t be there in person, you better be there online. We are utilizing a full production setup to ensure every person watching at home feels the weight of the information.

What we’re covering:

  • The Global Growth: How WCMX goes from Aaron Fotheringham doing a backflip and a few riders to an international movement.
  • The Equipment Basics (WCMX-focused): A clear breakdown of what makes a WCMX chair a WCMX chair—what manufacturers are making today  “Box Wheelchairs and Finch Fabrications ” how setups differ, and what to look for when you’re supporting an athlete.
  • Safety Fundamentals: Not reckless. Calculated. Spotting, protective gear and helmets, and smart progression.
  • Structuring Clinics: How to build a program from the ground up in your own city.
  • The Human Factor: Real stories from athletes who use these sports to reclaim their lives.

I’ve invited the World WCMX Federation Board to join us virtually. They’ll be calling in from around the globe to provide international insight and answer your questions live.

What We Teach About Chairs

I’m not here to run a product demo. I’m here to make sure the people responsible for safety—PTs, OTs, educators, city staff, families—actually understand what’s happening when a rider drops in.

So yes—we talk chairs.

We break down the basics of WCMX chairs —what they’re built to handle, why stability matters, what “ready for impact” really means, and how to spot red flags before someone gets hurt. We keep it practical. We keep it usable. You leave with language you can bring back to your clinic, your program, your park.

Every session, every setback, every single rep—done right—builds confidence. That’s the point.

Wheels in Motion Skatepark Session

Theory is great, but the truth is found on the concrete.

On Saturday, March 14, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, we move to Wentwood Skatepark in Kenner. This is where the “Education” part of the clinic gets hands-on. I want the city staff and the educators to see how a session actually functions.

We aren’t just letting people roll around. We are coaching. We are demonstrating.

  • Athlete Demos: Seeing the physics of WCMX in person.
  • Beginner Instruction: Taking someone who has never been on a ramp and showing them the “drop-in” mindset.
  • Orientation: Letting participants feel the difference in a high-performance chair.
  • Coaching Techniques: Teaching the teachers how to spot, how to encourage, and how to push without overstepping.

Beyond the Skatepark: The Ripple Effect

People ask me why I put so much energy into these clinics. It’s not just about the sport. It’s about the person who leaves the park.

When an athlete learns to navigate a six-foot bowl, a curb in the city doesn’t look like a barrier anymore. It looks like a minor inconvenience. When a child learns they can keep up with their able-bodied friends at the park, their entire self-image shifts.

This is about Ride, Roll, Rise.

It’s about developing physical strength and coordination, yes. But it’s more about the independence that carries into every other aspect of life. Employment. Education. Relationships. If you can master the park, you can master the world.

I’ve seen it happen. I’ve lived it. I’ve watched a WCMX chair become an extension of the athlete. Not because it’s flashy—because it’s trusted. It’s not a chair; it’s a vehicle for freedom.

A Call to Action for the Community

If you are in Kenner, New Orleans, or the surrounding parishes, show up. If you are a physical therapist looking for new ways to engage your clients, show up. If you are a parent who has been told “no” too many times, show up.

We are building a community that says “yes.”

If you have questions about the program—or you want to coordinate a clinic in your city—reach out to me directly.

Still building. Still pushing. Still here.

We are changing the narrative, one wheel at a time. The pavement is waiting. Are you ready to move?
