Epic Times in Las Vegas with the New Orleans Saints Wheelchair Football Team!
Our New Orleans Saints Wheelchair Football Team just got back from an incredible experience at the Move United USAWFL Tournament in Las Vegas—and let me tell you, it was one for the books! For many of us, this was a first-time Vegas adventure, and getting to play wheelchair football right on the iconic Fremont Strip brought a whole new level of hype. The crowd energy was insane, with fans and visitors cheering us on as we went head-to-head with some of the toughest teams out there.
This tournament brought together eight wheelchair football teams from across the country, each one fired up and ready to throw down. Our Saints crew hit the field determined to leave it all out there, showcasing grit, skills, and heart every step of the way. The competition was fierce, and while the Kansas City Chiefs ultimately took the top spot, we came away with so much more than a win. The experience fueled our drive to keep building, growing, and coming back even stronger.
One of the best parts of the tournament wasn’t just the competition—it was the community. Seeing athletes from all over connecting, supporting each other, and pushing the limits of the sport reminds me why we do this. Wheelchair football is more than a game; it’s a movement, a family, and a place where athletes inspire and lift each other up.
With this tournament under our belts, the Saints are fired up to get back to New Orleans, regroup, train harder, and bring in new players who are just as ready to make a mark. The future is bright, and we’re already eyeing the next big challenge. We’re just getting started—watch out!
