USAWFL Tampa Tournament
The USA Wheelchair Football League (USAWFL) held its first-ever tournament in Tampa, Florida from August 26-28, 2022. The tournament, hosted by Hillsborough County Adaptive Sports, saw wheelchair football athletes from across the country compete in the West Hall of the Tampa Convention Center. The USAWFL is a program of Move United that promotes adaptive sports and provides opportunities for athletes with disabilities to compete. The tournament was made possible by support from the NFL and The Bob Woodruff Foundation, which is part of the League’s Salute to Service initiative. Local team support was provided by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
